Michal loved having lessons with Ms. Wood. These were his favourite days of the week because he gets to play with his favourite teacher. Ms. Rachel was very patient and always knew exactly how to impart complex concepts in fun and interesting ways.

The interaction between Ms. Wood and Michal made him very motivated to practise and to confirm his skills at ABRSM exams, which he would always pass with distinctions (violin and piano).

Ms. Rachel treats all children with respect and kindness. At the same time, she also challenges them individually and meets them where they are musically. Our son’s abilities have grown so much thanks to her. Beyond that, Ms. Rachel is a caring person with a genuine passion for what she does.

Rachel taught our daughter Matilda piano and violin during our two years in Warsaw. She was not only an outstanding teacher who encouraged Matilda to push herself and allowed her to prepare for Grade 6 violin and piano, but also provided her opportunities to join a range of excellent ensembles and they performed in amazing venues . Rachel was an incredibly thoughtful and caring teacher who supported our Matilda during her challenging transition between two countries and cultures. We will always be indebted to Rachel for playing such a significant role in guiding our daughter and allowing her to feel valued and inspired. As a teacher and human, Rachel is simply exceptional.

It is my pleasure to strongly recommend Ms. Rachel Wood for a position of a piano and violin teacher to everybody who would like to learn playing those instruments and love it at the same time. Ms. Wood has been teaching my children: Nadia (13) and Marcel (11) since 2016. Many good and bad things happened to my family in this period but Rachel Wood has stayed with my children helping them go through all these challenges.

She is not only perfect in all technical aspects of playing music but also an artist. She has managed to show the beauty of music to my children and encourage them to practice when they have had worse days. For once, I agree with my teenage daughter :) (see Tosia’s comment in student testimonals) Ms Rachel is not only great at teaching music but also at motivating students and making them want to learn more. I think she pays attention to her students’ individual needs and learning styles and puts a lot of thought into approaching each person individually, from kids to teenagers. I was a bit worried when my daughter moved to online lessons that it would be hard to keep up a personal relationship. That is not the case at all!
