My Musical Journey

My passion for music began at age 5 with the violin and later included the piano. I studied at the Royal Northern College of Music from age nine, also completing my Bachelor of Music degree there. As a child I performed numerous concerts with The National Children's Orchestra and Procorda, where my quartet represented the North of England at The Royal academy's Duke's hall. During my time at the University, I performed in various orchestras, ensembles, recitals and was fortunate to perform in a masterclasses with Leyland Chen at the RNCM's virtuoso violinist weekend. In addition to my classical training, I ventured into the popular music industry. My sister and I wrote and recorded music together, winning several National competitions and collaborating with Nigel Kennedy on his album "The Four Elements."
After graduating, I moved to Poland to join my husband, also a musician. Together with my sister, we signed a record deal with popular Polish label Kayax, released an album, and earned a nomination for Best Newcomer at the Fryderyk Awards.

Teaching Experience

My passion for teaching started at the age of 17. In the UK I initially taught students privately and in various settings, including a music school, inner-city and rural schools, as well as Westminster University. During my decade in Poland, I built a substantial student base at the largest International British school in Warsaw, teaching up to 60 lessons a week to accommodate my waiting list and also online students. I ran string ensembles, quartets, trios, duos and eventually managed the entire instrumental department, coordinating with 15 tutors and organising recitals, masterclasses, and international trips. During this time our school became the exam centre for Warsaw for both RSL and ABRSM.
Many of my students regularly achieve distinction in ABRSM exams, developing into dedicated and motivated musicians. I am proud to have contributed to their growth and success. You can read their testimonials on the parent and student testimonials pages.
After nearly a decade in Poland, my family and I have now decided to move on to our next adventure in Brighton, UK. I am looking forward to establishing a new student base locally, while continuing to work with my current international students online.
